Masters Perfumes commenced operations in April, 1999 at a 2,000 square feet location on Harwin in Houston, Texas. Retail, as well as wholesale operations were conducted from this site; and it wasn't long before additional space was required. Therefore, an additional 2500 square feet showroom and warehouse facility was leased in October 2002 a block away from the initial location; and this site was utilized solely for the wholesale business. Our primary market segments were identified; and focused marketing was commenced at these target markets, including advertising in the Spanish-language media. As a result, we currently ship our products to customers all over the United States. With the continuing increase in sales and shipments, it became necessary to lease yet another warehouse unit in October 2004 of 2500 square feet adjoining the warehouse facility. This additional space enabled us to better organize and control our inventories, and also segregate receiving, stocking and shipping for greater operational efficiencies. We currently have a total 6 employees; and are planning to hire more as demand dictates. We will also require additional temporary staffing during peak seasons for better customer service.. We currently procure our products from major national distributors. However, we have also sourced certain products from overseas suppliers and manufacturers - organizations such as Dolce & Gabanna and Christian Dior and others. On such imports from overseas suppliers, we experience a savings of almost 20% on our cost of goods, which we then pass onto our customers.
